NBCU Photo Bank represents a combined digital and analog photo archive in excess of 15 million images. Dating back to the 1920s NBC Radio days, our collection consists of publicity and advertising still photography created to support the NBC Entertainment, NBC News and NBC Sports programming broadcast on the National Broadcasting Company. More recently, photography from our cable network family including USA Network, Oxygen, Bravo, SciFi Channel, Telemundo, mun2, MSNBC and CNBC has been added to the archive.
Our Photo Production and Research staff operating out of our Burbank office, is aggregating and uploading photographs daily to build our online digital photo database quickly. By editing and scanning analog (film) photo files or editing original digital photo files from our off-air programs and by channeling selected digital image files of current programs into our online database, we give you, our clients, a broad variety of content spanning the entire historical breadth of our collection.
